When our client from Qatar mentioned de Gournay wallpaper as her inspiration, we were ecstatic. Then we learned we had 10 days to create this invitation. It was our shared love for Chinoiserie and the challenge of interpreting the gorgeous art that powered us to create this exquisitely hand-painted invitation. A striking gold envelope sets the tone with debossed iconic peacock images. It opens with a splash of rich blue lining carrying subtle detailing of the flower. The painstakingly hand-painted inserter inside is a mélange of flowers and butterfly motifs on a turquoise blue backdrop with splendent gold initials perched on top, tying in the allure of this Chinoiserie-inspired invitation.
